"The Red Ochre Rebirth''

I am walking along a very ancient path in an ancient land, and there is a guide with me. He looks like a very tall, dark, native man in jeans and a collared shirt with long black hair. He is taking me up a mountainside to an opening in the earth. Within the opening is an 'earth slide', a tube of rock coated with a thick layer of red ochre. As I squeeze myself through the tube I am being covered in red dye, and I begin to see symbols on the walls as I slide down deeper. There is a deer symbol with large antlers and many interlocking circles and arrows that seem to become a map of how to navigate through the slide. I realize that on the other end, is a 1000 foot drop of a cliff!!!! I know I need to pay attention to the signs around me and utilize them as guidance to slow myself down enough to not fly out off the cliff at the end. I slow and slow and slow, and as I reach the opening I am able to stop right on the ledge of the cliff before falling to my doom.

I stand up, and this part is a little tricky to explain.

I see my guide standing on the otherside of what is almost like a veil. It is invisible yet I can sense it's edges and there is a thin line, like a rope, that seperates us. He is telling me that i must take the first step through the veil. So I summon up my courage and leap over the long gap and land on another hillside with my guide. The cliff has disappeared and now the man is headed towards a ridgeline.

As he reaches the ridge, he begins to fold back the top layer of the earth like a rug of dough. He's peeling the land off of the top of the ridge and he reveals beneath it a wooden plank that is the spine of the ridgeline. He beckons me near, and tells me I must walk the line on this ridge.

I refuse the call, and tell him that I'm fine where I am, and I'm done playing around in the heights. I long for a grounded place to sit, but my journey hasn't ended yet.......
