One day, she came across a website recruiting volunteers for a mission to Mars.

The next day, she couldn’t stop thinking about the project’s slogan:

“Pioneers of the future are those who never return.”...

One voice said, “No one here is waiting for you. Go, make history.”

Another voice whispered, “You’ve just begun to feel there may be a reason to stay.”...
