Luminessa (or ‘Lumi’) was born and raised in NYC. By the time she was 5, she'd developed an enormous fascination with music, art, storytelling, and performance. This obsession served as an invaluable expressive outlet throughout her childhood and adolescence. At 18 years old, she moved to Los Angeles, the entertainment epicenter of the US. After receiving her AS in Business from Santa Monica College, she then took courses at UCSD and UCLA. There she studied music production and recording, computer programming, art, and graphic design. In 2022, Lumi graduated with her BA from MIU, where she emphasized in filmmaking and new media, consciousness studies, and Vedic studies. Now in her fifth year as a full-time creative, Lumi has worked with hundreds of brands and fellow artists, both on commercial and artistic projects. In everything she does, Luminessa endeavors to utilize the arts as a powerful medium to promote radical self-expression, spiritual growth, peace, justice, and freedom.
